The company installing our new granite counter tops wanted 5.00 to "scribe" the new counter top. Actually, they would be cutting away the drywall above the kitchen sink where the wall is bowed 3/8" inwards at counter top level. This bowed area was 5 feet wide. I advised the counter top company I would take care of this myself. Using my corded Dremel Multi-Max, I used the 3" wood and drywall saw blade and cut two parallel horizontal slits 3/8" deep and 5 feet wide in the drywall 1 3/8" apart at counter top level. Next, using the 1 1/8" wood and metal flush cutting blade, I plunge cut vertical slots 3/8" deep connecting the horizontal slits about every 1/2". I used blue painter's tape fastened to the blades as a depth gauge. Finally, I took the flexible scraper blade and ran this sideways behind the horizontal cuts and in amazement, watched these small pieces of drywall fly into the wet/dry vac hose I held with my other hand. TEN MINUTES of work saved 5.00 - more than the price of the Dremel Multi-Max!
